Hello, my name is Dr. Martin Fakiel. I am Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry, and have been practicing my specialty for more than 20 years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to help clients from all walks of life, suffering from diverse psychiatric problems, in outpatient and inpatient settings. In this age of “quick fixes” and “rushed medicine,” I take pride in spending ample time with clients in order to perform a thorough evaluation and to answer questions about their conditions and the proposed treatment plan. I strongly believe that psychiatric problems are multidimensional in nature, and that an approach, which takes into account the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors is the best way to help people. For this reason, I don’t see myself simply as a “prescriber of pills,” but as an expert in providing solutions to people with psychological problems.
